Maxwell Horizontal anchor winches are designed to effortlessly retrieve and deploy 8 and 10mm short link chain and up to 16mm line. These windlasses are an automated horizontal build, with an emphasis on aesthetics, whilst still being able to handle line and chain for vessels up to 16 metres (52ft) in length. The cone type clutch/brake permits a manual free fall, and the entire unit is waterproof and mounted above deck, letting the anchor well use all available space.

The Maxwell patented, horizontal Wave Design chainwheel is able to accommodate a wide range of pitch differences, and the wrap around design ensures more than 90^o of the wheel is used, allowing for much greater handling compared to traditional designed. For those using an all chain system, the HRC 10 is compatible, ensuring maximum peace of mind and security.
